Next: a desktop app for Windows
Section titled “Next: a desktop app for Windows”Today eplan-mcp is for people who already use an AI agent in a terminal. The next step is a small Windows app for everyone else:
- Pick your model and sign in: an API key, or your existing Claude or ChatGPT/Codex account where the provider allows it.
- Talk to EPLAN visually: see what the agent is doing, approve actions, review results.
- Scheduled jobs: run checks, exports or reports on a schedule while EPLAN is open.
- Updates through GitHub: the app updates itself from releases instead of asking you to download a new installer every time.
In the lab
Section titled “In the lab”- open-ecad: an open-source electrical CAD built from scratch in Rust, clean-room from public documentation and open standards. It will be published when there is something you can use.
